Job Description:
A well‑established HVAC subcontractor with 40+ years in commercial new construction is seeking an experienced HVAC Installer. We specialize in hotel, restaurant, and multi‑unit projects with active work in Virginia, Indiana and Florida. Travel to project sites is required.
Job Summary:
- Install sheet metal, piping, refrigeration lines and HVAC equipment per plans and mechanical code.
- Install fire/smoke dampers, detectors, motorized dampers, and duct access doors.
- Perform equipment testing, startup, and documentation.
- Install low‑voltage wiring for thermostats, sensors, timers, and controls.
- Read and interpret drawings, specs, and submittals.
- Inspect completed work for accuracy and compliance.
- Work safely and professionally per OSHA, company, and GC requirements.
- Collaborate with the Foreman and project team.
- Travel to out‑of‑town job sites as needed.
Requirements:
- 5+ years commercial HVAC experience.
- HVAC technical school training or certification.
- Experience with hotels, restaurants, multi‑family, or assisted living projects.
- Proficient in duct systems, refrigeration, wiring, and equipment installation.
- Strong blueprint reading, measuring, and takeoff skills.
- Knowledge of mechanical codes; positive relationships with inspectors.
- EPA Certification.
- OSHA 10 (within 30 days of hire).
- Valid driver’s license & reliable transportation.
- US work authorization.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Strong verbal and written English communication.
- NATE or VRF certification a plus.
- General HVAC hand tools.
- Willingness to travel.
